TIPS TO FOLLOW FOR A PERFECT OUTDOOR WEDDING

Having an outdoor wedding is an awesome idea. They are out of the box, romantic and personalized. An outdoor wedding lets you experiment and bring out your dream setup in the most mesmerizing way. You get to indulge yourself or put your wedding party at work with venue booking, décor arrangements, lighting, and prevention from the wind or the sun.

Similarly if you will not be cautious of any run time mishaps and caveats, your wedding day can turn into a complete disaster. Following are a few guidelines which may help you to prepare for any calamity beforehand. Have a look!

COMFORTABLE VENUE

The tricks and hacks are various, but you need to be wise and sensible enough too judge them before hand to incorporate them ahead of time. Consider the weather and the time of the day when the wedding is talking place. If its summer and day time, be mindful of installing portable electric fans and installing generators. Also, get your invitations printed on a paper fan so that it can be further brought in use. Whereas, if its winter then get portable heaters installed and being turned on if needed.

BACK UP PLAN

Being foresighted will be beneficial in the longer run. So better be prepared if it rains. Most of the venues have an indoor setup too, just in case of need. The outdoor location can also be prepared with overhead water proof tents so that the guests underneath are not really bothered by the rain.

WHAT IF IT GETS WINDY?

We have often come across weddings which have to bear the repercussions of wind. Make sure you opt for heavier material to dress up in. Advice how the mother of the bride dresses and the bridesmaids’ attire must also be in accordance. Ask your hair stylist to give you a look that may not be affected by the wind. And of course the tent should be sturdy enough to stand up to gusting winds.

MENU

Is your caterer experienced enough for planning an outdoor wedding? You should choose dishes which are not required to be served very hot. Make sure the food on the menu keeps well in the outdoor temperature.

DRESS CODE

This should be mentioned in the invitation card that it is an outdoor wedding and the guests should dress up accordingly. You should be concerned how plus size mother of the bride dresses as it might get difficult for her to manage an overtly flowy gown or a dress with a trail if it gets windy or it rains. Avoid wearing pointed heels as they will sink into the grass or the sand and make it difficult to move.

LET THE LIQUIDS FLOW

As alcohol is dehydrating, do not leave your guests parched. Arrange for lots of liquids so they do not feel thirsty and keep looking for something to dampen their throats. Be it water, cocktails or even mint mojitos.

PESTS IN THE AIR

There might be a possibility of flies and pests in the air. Arrange for citronella candles, repellents or bug zappers so that the guests may not spend the entire evening swatting in the air.
